Common Beauty Advice Includes The Suggestion That A Minimum Of 8-10 Glasses A Day Is Required For Optimal Beauty & Health.
Have you ever wondered why 8-10 glasses seems to be the magic number? Or have you wondered why the recommendation is not scaled to other factors such as age, sex or daily activity?
According to studies, the average human loses 8 to 10 cups (8oz) of water per day just by existing.
How? Two cups of day, on average, are lost through sweating. Two cups, more or less due to breathing and 5-7 cups for body waste removal.
While as much as two cups of water per day can be added back from daily food, the other lost water needs to be added back through actually adding liquids. Water is considered the very best source but liquids can be acquired from coffee, tea and soft drinks.
For optimal beauty, the best liquid to add on a daily basis is pure water. Not only does it add the required daily water requirements, it is a pure source of beauty fluid.
Water provides the following beauty (& healthy living) advantages:
1. It helps to flush the skin of all toxins leaving it moist and clear.
2. Water helps to make the body feel full and will help to reduce appetite. Which means eating less and more healthy foods.
3. Minimizing of undereye circles which can develop from excess toxins in the skin.
4. Potential for more restful sleep, which is a great beauty aide.
An active person who exercises on a regular basis actually needs to add more water. In addition, research has shown that the more you weigh, the more water you need to drink to keep your body healthy.
For example, someone who weighs 200 pounds, will need to add appoximately 9-10 cups of water (or liquid) per day if exercise is not a daily practice. When light exercise in undertaken, at 200 pounds, 10 cups of liquid per day would be recommended. For Moderate exercise 11 cups of liquid per day. would be suggested. For Strenuous exercise it is recommended that 13-14 cups of water or liquid is needed on a daily basis.
Another factor to consider is temperatures. During hotter or colder periods of the year, more or less water would be recommended.
The more you weigh, the more daily water you need to replenish your body for optimal health and beauty.
