If you check out the luscious cover of June's Cosmopolitan Magazine with Carmen Electra on the cover pay close attention to her stunning clean white nails*. Carmen's beauty nails work in perfect harmony with the vibrant orange cover and Carmen's DayGlo red and orange X wrap dress. Delicate gold bracelets enhance her square shaped nails. Was the cover team at Cosmo reading what Vogue said in their May 2008 issue? That the French Manicure is back in style. Probably not. Most covers are shot months before they hit the stand. InStyle (April 2008) This year’s Best Beauty Buys included Essie A-List, OPI Big Apple Red, Essie Wicked, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark, Essie Pansy, OPI Cajun Shrimp, Essie Canyon Coral, Essie Allure, Essie Mademoiselle. For treatments, nail experts recommended Seche Clear Base/Seche Vite Top and Duri Rejuvacote as a nail strengthener. Vogue (May 2008) Vogue said that the newly revamped french manicure is officially back in style. Allure (May 2008) OPI’s Nail Lacquer in Curry Up Don't Be Late is one of the gold polishes recommended for summer pedicures. CosmoGirl (May 2008) Day-Glo shades are the hot shades for summer. Start off the season with bright yellow, such as Jessica Cosmetics polish in Pharoah's Gold. Redbook (May 2008) Two-toned polish applications are the new way to go, with a separated shade worn underneath the front of the nail. One suggested combo is Carolyn New York polish in Korean Fruit & Flower Stand over Essie Nail Polish in Escapades.
